Welcome to the Ordean East Middle School Family Resource Hub! This page contains key platforms, daily routines, school expectations, and parenting guides to support your student's middle school journey.

Technology & Learning Portals

  • Infinite Campus Parent Portal: Access attendance, schedules, fees, and official grades updated every two weeks.

  • Canvas Parent: View assignments, class materials, and weekly updated grades. Note: Create your account on a browser first before using the Canvas Parent App.

  • ParentSquare: Stay informed with school announcements, complete permission slips, and message teachers in your preferred language.

  • Digital Learning Form: Complete the required annual form giving your student access to school technology, internet, and a Chromebook.

Schedules & School Routines

  • Daily Hours: Doors open at 7:45 AM, breakfast is served in the cafeteria at 8:15 AM, and the first bell rings at 8:24 AM. Dismissal is at 3:19 PM, with activity buses leaving at 4:15 PM.

  • A/B & Block Schedules: Wednesdays and Thursdays follow a block schedule format. Students use blue quarterly planners in every class to track daily assignments.

  • Connection & Support: Students engage in Advisory twice a week for SEL and goal-setting, alongside AREA time for academic enrichment.

School Culture & Expectations (PBIS)

Ordean East utilizes Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) centered around our BARK expectations:

  • B - Be Kind

  • A - Act Responsibly

  • R - Respect Others

  • K - Keep Safe

Students demonstrating positive behaviors receive recognition through Pink Tickets and BARK Slips, which earn entry into prize drawings and access to the BARK Store.

Advocacy & Getting Involved

  • Student & Parent Advocacy: Encourage your student to contact their teacher or counselor first when issues arise. If step-in support is needed, reach out to the classroom teacher before contacting administration.

  • Ordean East PTA: Support grade-level parties, school assemblies, and spirit wear by getting involved. Contact PTA President Josh Price at ptaordeaneast@gmail.com.
