Principal

Kristen Kennedy Anderson is an accomplished educational leader and the Principal of Ordean East Middle School (OEMS). She brings over six years of experience in administrative roles, including serving as an Associate Principal at multiple schools in Des Moines, IA.

Her expertise lies in instructional leadership, student support, and staff development. Notably, she spearheaded the development of a school-wide multi-language learners program and successfully managed a master schedule change at a Des Moines middle school. Ms. Kennedy Anderson is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Middle Level Education with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Northern Iowa and a master’s in Education Leadership, K-12, from Drake University.
